Hi, I have been using your Visual Floor Plan software and must say that I am very pleased with the results. I have my own catalogue of specialist symbols that I can import using the Import feature, but as I have many different symbols, I would like to know if its possible to add my own symbls to the catalogue.

We have deliberately designed the catalogue to automatically expand to allow users to add their own symbols.
The catalogue entries are defined by the config file (Use a text editor)

    27 0 MySymbols/Symbol1
    27 1 MySymbols/Symbol2
    27 2 MySymbols/Symbol3
    27 3 MySymbols/Symbol4
    27 4 MySymbols/Symbol5
    27 5 MySymbols/Symbol6

Adding the above to the config file, would load Symbol1.png and place it in position 0, Symbol2.png and place it in position 1, etc. in the catalogue flyout. These would be loaded from a folder called MySymbols I the Icons folder

In the above example 27 indicates the menu flyout position, and 0, 1, 2.. defines the position in the flyout menu.

You would also need to create smaller Symbol1.bmp file that would actually display in the catalogue flyout. If in doubt examine the files in the existing catalogues e.g Icons/Fire/Directions.

If you think your symbols would be of use to other users and that they are not copyrighted then please distribute them on this forum.
